Flawlessly Works as Advertized
I purchased this switch based upon another review and thinking it had three-way capabilities as a light switch and a single capability as a fan switch; however, the switch has both a three-way light and three-way fan capability. Of course you can choose to run either the fan, light, or both as a single pole switch and simply use an electrical connector to close off the wires you don't need.
The green wire on the switch connects to ground (bare copper from the recessed box), the black wire connects to "hot" (should be black from the recessed box as well), the yellow wires connect to the light (wire color in the box will vary), and the red wires connect to the fan (wire color in the box will vary). If you are only going to use any of the portions as a single-pole instead of a three-way switch, the manufacturer has labeled which wires you will NOT use. They make it very simple. Exactly What I Needed
This switch is exactly what I needed.I needed it for a ceiling fan on a vaulted ceiling. I needed a 3 way switch for the light with dimmer control and a single pole switch with speed selection for the fan. The product works great and provided the convenience I needed for an out of reach ceiling fan.
